Will a carpenter come and look for nothing?
A free visit is offered by 2 of the 15 contractors listed here. A look and a price is normally free. Investigation is not, so expect to pay when someone has to open a wall, lift boards or pull trim to find how far rot or damage runs. That cost is worth paying before anyone quotes a fix.
