The simplicity of the lines on this Douglas Fir table have always made my heart swoon.n.nWe made this table for a client on the Danforth in Toronto using Douglas Fir salvaged from an derelict school that was converted into a police station. n.nLove the simple square legs. Not the most efficient for alternate seating layouts, but more than made up for the fact in it’s aesthetic cleanliness. n.nOn that note a note to keep in mind when designing tables is to think about how many seats you’ll want on a daily basis v. occasional basis v. once-in-a-blue-moon basis. Depending on the design and size this will have a large impact on the legs or a negligible one. The great thing about custom?
