Q: How can I troubleshoot my furnace? In order to troubleshoot your furnace you'll need to find the "sight glass" on the front door of the furnace and look for a flashing light. Count the flashes - the flashes will continue in a sequenced number, that number will correspond to an internal error (you'll need to look this up in your manual or online). If you still can't determine what's wrong then you should call a licensed heating company.
