Today it dawned on me, most of us humans do the exact same thing.nnWe rush. We eat while standing. We eat while driving. We shovel food in our mouth without even tasting it.nnAll of this rushing and eating fast actually wreaks havoc on your digestive system.nnHere’s the Importance of Chewing Food Properly and Slowly…n🔸Digestion starts in the mouth, not in the stomach. Chewing breaks up the food into more manageable pieces and mixes it with saliva.n🔸This saliva contains the enzymes amylase, which starts breaking down carbohydrates in the meal and lingual lipase to begin the proper digestion of fats.
