How do you stand out from your competitors?
Sadly, most of our competitors don't thoroughly clean and then sanitize (with pet-friendly sanitizer) their tools and boots between each job. We do! It reduces the risk or transmitting any harmful bacteria from dog to dog. We are fully licensed and insured to operate a small business in Ontario. We remit full HST to Revenue Canada on all sales and services, as any professional business should do. Dog poop that is taken to Region of Waterloo landfills is required to be double bagged, with the outer bag being 3 mil contractor bags, We offer a 100% service guarantee. If a client is not happy with a job we've done, we'll return within 24 hours and make it right - for no charge, of course!
Do you provide service in the winter?
Absolutely! We clean yards all Winter long, so that you don't need to brave the cold. Regular Winter cleaning solves that icky Spring thaw issue. On days that we receive more than 3 cms of snow, we rebook your regular weekly dog poop clean up service for a few days later.
Can my dog(s) be outside while yard is serviced?
As a rule, we prefer that dogs be left inside. Even the friendliest dogs can be protective of their yard when a stranger enters. If your dog is extra friendly, and they get to know our technicians, we do enjoy a quick petting or playtime with your dog! To help you remember that we're coming, and that your dog should be kept inside, we send on on-the-way text the morning of your scheduled service.
Is there an initial clean?
If you sign up for regular weekly service, and the yard hasn't been cleaned in more than 10 days, we do have the right to charge a small initial cleaning fee the first visit. The fee is based on the time it takes for that first visit. All further visits are based on the regular set weekly fee.
What do you do with the dog poop after you scoop it?
All dog poop picked up from your home or business is bagged and removed from your premises. The Region of Waterloo landfill requires that animal waste collected by a business, such as The Poop Valet, must be properly double-bagged (the second bag being 3 mil contractor bags) when disposed of at one of the two Regional facialities.
