Should I have a fabric protector applied after cleaning?

Mobi Cleaning Canada recommends that you reapply protector after professional cleaning to restore the original stain resistance. Some manufacturers even require it as part of the warranty on the carpet. It is wise to apply protector on the carpet after it is steam cleaned to ensure that the carpet stays spot free as long as possible.

Do carpet cleaners get rid of dust?

Professional carpet cleaning can successfully remove about 98 percent of dirt and pollutants from your carpets. However, if you only do it once every six months, a lot of bacteria could flourish on your carpets in between cleaning.

Is it OK to vacuum once a month?

A general rule that applies to all is that normally, you should vacuum at least once a week. However, this rule changes depending on the traffic in the area you are looking to clean. If you live alone, with a friend or a spouse, it is only ideal and realistic to vacuum once every week.

How often should carpet padding be replaced?

Depending on the material, carpet padding can last up to 25 years. Although, the most popular foam-based carpet padding only lasts around 10 years. Over time, and especially in high-traffic areas, your padding can degrade and become misshapen and dirty, just like the carpet above it.
