We found this tank during a pre-sale septic inspection for a client in Salmon Arm. The sellers agreed to replace the system as this tank did not even have a bottom and raw sewage had been seeping into the ground for many years. Any time a major component failure occurs, the remainder components must meet current standards as per the Sewerage System Regulation under the Health Act. When you are contemplating buying a home, ensure you include a subject in your contract to a certified septic inspection by an R.O.W.P with the P.I.R designation. Don't gamble with your potential investment!
