This is the 3rd year JML Roofing & Renovations has been a sponsor of a women’s hockey team in the Hockey Helps the Homeless tournament in Winnipeg.nnThis tournament raises funds for 3 local Winnipeg charities. The beneficiaries are RaY (Resource Assistance for Youth), Willow Place and Red Road Lodge. Last year each charity received $45,000.nnThe money raised provide services including emergency shelter, transitional house and mentorship programs for those currently experiencing homelessness.nnThe four women’s teams (60 women) have worked together and found corporate sponsors for each of their teams and taken on various fundraising initiatives over the past year. To date, including team corporate sponsorship, they have raised over $64,000!! In order to play in this tournament, each participate is required to fundraise a minimum of $500. nnWe are proud to be a corporate sponsors of the women’s teams along with Bison Transport, IG Wealth and Intent Planning Group.
