When should I have a certified arborist look at my trees?

Anytime is a good time to have us come take a look at your trees. As certified arborists we are trained to look for things you may not be aware of. Early detection of disease or decay could potentially save your tree, or prevent possible damage to your property.

What is the tree bylaw in my area?

Most cities and municipalities have a tree bylaw. Some require permits for removal and some depend on the property size. Many do not require a permit when removing a dead or dangerous tree once it has been inspected and deemed hazardous by a I.S.A. Certified Arborist. Usually pruning is allowed and recommend to be performed by a professional and in accordance with arboriculture best safe work practices. We are up to date on all bylaws in the areas where we work and follow all guidelines. We can help you navigate the tree bylaws in your area.

How much does it cost to cut down a tree?

There are several factors that go into quoting tree removals. Access to the tree, what is located below the tree, the size of the tree and so on. We are always happy to come take a look at your tree and give you a free quote.

What form of payment do you accept?

We prefer Interac e-transfer or personal cheque. To better serve our clients we are now offering the option to pay with credit card, however the processing fee will be relayed to the client at the time of payment. Processing fees are 2.7% +.30.

How do I know if my tree is healthy?

That is a very good question! Trees are very slow to react to their environment. Most of the time it is hard to tell if they are under stress until it is far to late to do anything about it. Sudden leaf drop, dieback, excessive leaking from unions, fungal bodies, discoloration of the leaves are all things to watch for. If you have mature trees on your property it is always a good idea to have a certified arborist come take a look to ensure good health.
