We thought we’d write up a few ways to still get professional or premium tree service but while still managing your budget like a pro. 1. Determine needs vs. wants, and make it clear to whoever is giving you a quote. 2. Ask to do work in batches. Commit to what you need, plan for what you want and if it’s a very large project then ask if it can be broken up into stages. 3. Don’t treat a quote like a menu. Just like at a restaurant, every service provided by arborists has a fixed cost to offer. At a restaurant you can pick and choose, and the costs reflect this. Chef’s menus of three courses are cheaper than if you chose your own three course because they can optimize price. Reputable arborist companies do the same thing - individual pricing is generally more expensive. 4. Be honest what you are looking for and your expectations. You might not get what you want from every quote (get a few!) but you’ll get a better idea. 5. Put it off. Not everything needs to be done right away. Sometimes the best course of action is no work at all. No Toronto tree companies charge for quotes, so get a few professional opinions. Maybe it is nothing at all!
