When they described their dream ladder to me I thought of a beautiful, old ladder my wife and I saw in a shop window in downtown Amsterdam. When we went into the shop I knew right away that I wanted to make a reproduction of the ladder. It had such a European look, the sides were square and the steps were thin but tall. This beautifully crafted ladder was sleek and minimal looking.
