However, when they’re not available, we’ll substitute a low-VOC alternative. We avoid using alkyd paints as much as we can. FAQs

How long will it take for my house to be painted?

An exterior house painting project usually takes 1-3 days depending on the size. For interior painting, the time needed to perform a professional job can take up to 5 days. When we schedule any home painting job, consecutive days are planned with exceptions only being due to weather events or other unforeseen circumstances.

What kind of preparation should I do before the team arrives?

We'll take care of heavy furniture lifting and protect anything that will stay in the room to be painted. However, clearing the room of smaller and fragile items will assist us greatly in getting the job done as efficiently as possible.

How do I fix a large drywall hole?

If you want to go the DIY route, then a fix can be made using a mesh patch, joint compound, and a fresh coat of paint. Bear in mind that it is a difficult job to get right and hiring a professional service may be a better option. We've repaired countless drywall holes and can complete the job perfectly with more advanced techniques at a minimal cost.

What happens if I damage a painted surface after the job is done?

With every job we do, the leftover paint is given to the customer for this exact reason. Instead of needing to make a perfect color match, you'll have the exact same paint we used for touch-ups and quick fixes. If it's a more serious problem, we are certainly available for follow-up services.

How often should a homes exterior be painted?

In general, a Scarborough exterior painting should last roughly around 5 years. At the same time, there are other factors like sun exposure or high humidity that can shorten that time. Even if you feel that the paint still looks good, it may be a good idea to give us a call for a professional analysis to catch any small problems before they become bigger.

Does drywall and plaster work need licensing?
