FAQs

What is the catch to your Free 30 hours of Design Service?

There is really no catch, this is truly a no charge and total complimentary design service, of up-to 30 hours of real architectural planning and CAD design, with basically no strings attached, and no catch to it, however we do have some conditions that a client first needs to meet before we will agree to fully engage with a client our no charge design services, plus you need to know up-front that any free design work done is still deemed copyright protected. We also reserve the right to turn down a client for this no charge design service for any reason, but mostly because we tend to fully book up for the no charge service, and we can only do so many FREE designs at any given time. (See below for more details on how our complimentary Design Service works)

What areas and where can you design homes and renovations for?

We typically design custom homes and renovations for our clients in and around the Calgary area, we have a general working perimeter around Calgary of 50Kms, this so that we can do proper site evaluations, and cost assessments. However, we have done plans for clients in other cities and provinces, including plans for the US market, but most of our work is right here in our own backyard where we specialize in custom acreage homes (see also lists or areas we work in).

Who owns the plans after they are complete?

Once fully paid for by the client, the plans become the property of the client. It should be noted that we are one of the very few architectural draftsmen /designers that do this as most other architectural design firms retain ownership of the plans.

Do you provide 3-D rendering services?

Yes, we can provide photo realistic 3-D renderings of both the inside and outside of the home along with a number of other rendering services depending on the level of planning requested by the client and the planning budget set by the client (see also sample plan under Resources).

You can find more info on the FAQ page of our website.

Listed for people planning a new house in and around Okotoks, AB, these 24 contractors build on land you own or on lots they control. A card reflects the way that builder describes its own work, its plans and its service area; the ratings beside it come from public reviews.

Area overview: Okotoks, AB

8 of the 24 contractors we list are based in Okotoks; the other 16 serve Okotoks from towns including Calgary (37 km), De Winton (10 km) and Foothills (10 km). 21 of the contractors on this page have a rating, from 4.0 to 5.0 across 402 reviews; 1 has 50 or more reviews and 18 are rated 4.5 or higher. We have a website on file for all 24 of the contractors on this page; 23 publish a contact page; 19 list a public email and 1 takes bookings online. We count these figures across the contractors on this page; distances are straight-line, and hours and prices change, so confirm the details with the contractor before you book.

Why are builders from other towns listed here?

8 of these 24 builders give an address in Okotoks; the rest sit within 40 km. Builders work by region rather than by municipal boundary, and the office address tells you little. What tells you something is whether they have built recently in the same municipality and the same ground.
