Funny smell coming from your floor drain ? This could be an early sign of a back up, however, if your pipes are flowing smooth then it is likely just a dried up trap. A dried up trap will let sewer gases out into your house or business. I likely don’t need to tell you that this is very stinky, but also bad for your health. You can protect your floor drains from letting out gases by installing a trap guard ( as pictured in the photo ). This allows water to drain down, but remains sealed at all other times. This is not a very expensive fix ( usually landing between 300-350 ) and can save you from breathing in polluted air. Call us anytime for questions on a trap guard or any other plumbing needs.
