Listed for homeowners in and around Barrie, ON, these 24 companies take on multi-trade work, from a basement build-out to a full renovation. What each one says about licensing, hours and the work it takes on comes from its own website; ratings and quotes come from public reviews.

Area overview: Barrie, ON

All 24 companies we list here are in Barrie itself. We have 91 companies in Barrie on file; this page shows the highest-rated 24. The companies on this page are rated from 4.1 to 5.0 across 979 reviews; 5 have 50 or more reviews and 19 are rated 4.5 or higher. When customers rate these companies on specific qualities, they most often praise professionalism (92%), quality (91%) and responsiveness (76%). The topics that come up most in reviews of the companies on this page are "price", "estimates" and "attention to detail". 4 are open around the clock; 8 are open on Saturdays and 6 on Sundays. The services the companies on this page list most often on their websites are basement (3), bathrooms (2), general contracting (2) and kitchens (2). 1 shows a licence on its website. 6 have ten or more years of experience, the longest 25 years. 2 offer financing; 11 give free estimates; 2 are family- or locally-owned and 1 lists coupons or special offers. We count these figures across the companies on this page; hours and prices change, so confirm the details with the company before you book.

Do any of these companies quote without charging?

The free estimate promises less on a multi-trade job, and it is advertised by 11 of the 24 companies here. Free normally buys a walk-through and a ballpark figure. A real price takes measuring, trade pricing and desk time, so design-build firms often charge for that stage and credit it against the work if you sign.

“From the planning and designing stages to the completion of the project and beyond, Paul and his team answered all of our questions in a timely and satisfactory manner.”

FAQs

Should I replace all the roof shingles on the original building too?

This depends on a couple of things. If the roof is new, Bay Point may offer to tie in. However, if you want a new colour then entire shingle replacement is necessary. Bay Point will review the scope of the work to determine the amount of roof being affected and how. Only then can meaningful advice be provided on the best course of action.

Can we reuse the recently installed quartz counter in our new kitchen?

This is unusual, but at Bay Point we have reused quartz and granite pieces on past projects. Generally, the reason for this is that the material is new, and the revised layout will require the removal and replacement of this.

Will you be able to protect my floors during renovations?

Naturally! Depending on the floor type, one or two layers of protection will be used. For example, silicone paper is used over hardwood floors to avoid spill seepage. Special tapes may also be in place to guard against bangs and drops. A full review will be conducted to ensure everything is kept safe, protecting your home.

Would you say you can provide honest suggestions from start to finish?

The team at Bay Point love to listen to customers and really understand their needs. Making suggestions is a part of the relationship we hold with our valued customers and honesty is the only way to do this. Alternatives to original plans might be suggested but ultimately Bay Point only want the best for you and your home.

Will I have a dedicated person or team on the job?

Undoubtedly. You will have a dedicated Project Manager and, while construction is ongoing, they will be your single point of contact. It is this that provides the excellent customer service and experience Bay Point are known for.
