Having trouble with your heat? Check these items to potentially save yourself having to call us out. -Is the filter clean? When is the last time you changed your filter? If the filter was changed recently, check that the door of the furnace is on properly. -Is the thermostat set to heat? Is the temperature set high enough? Is there a battery light or text resembling "lo batt" displayed. Change the batteries if so. -There should be a switch near the furnace, often at an unusual height for a light switch or red in colour. Is it on? Have you had guests recently that may have mistaken it for a light switch? Check the breaker? -Have you or the person responsible for paying the gas bill ensured that it has been paid? (this has been the issue more often than you would think). If these do not fix the problem, you will likely need a technician to diagnose your problem. In an effort to help restore your heat as quickly as possible, we have created a schedule that in most cases will allow us to be there the same day to repair non-functioning furnaces. If necessary we are also available 24 hours a day,7 days a week for emergency service. Also, don't forget to schedule a furnace service with us this season.
